A new book from J.T. Martinson

Early Access Reviews

“This book had me hooked from chapter 1! If you love a post-war, dystopian, survival of a people group vibe...this is it!” — @CNM_Reads

“I can't believe how much I ended up loving this book. I don't read much YA these days, but this reminded me why books like The Hunger Games have such broad appeal. While it's technically YA, I think readers of any age could enjoy this story.” — @booksfromtheattica

No Sky But Red

The Flood is coming!

Book 1 of the Oracle Series releases in September 2026.

“It’s a Maze Runner-style mystery with Scythe’s AI ethics and Mortal Engines world.”

From Visual Narratives to sci-fi, Dystopian Worlds

I’m a Creative Director with over a decade of experience at a global organization, turning bold ideas into powerful visual stories across digital, print, and experiential platforms. In recent years, that focus has evolved into creative writing. I’ve pivoted toward writing young adult novels, where I bring the same cinematic thinking, emotional depth, and attention to detail into long-form storytelling.

When I’m not creating, I’m usually outdoors—mountain biking, running, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, or wakeboarding. I also enjoy CrossFit, weightlifting, and swimming. Weekends are for books, movies, family time, and getting my hands dirty in the yard. I live with my wife and four kids in Liberty Hill, Texas.

Dysteam

Dysteam is a bit of everything—behind the scenes of No sky But Red, short stories, quick posts—about all things dystopian and steampunk. It’s a place to put my thoughts and ideas . A space to do something meaningful. To bring Bible, steampunk, and dystopian together!
